I opened up Mountain Slice because of my unwavering passion for pizza, nothing more, nothing less. So you will never have to break the bank when getting good honest food with us! We make our dough from scratch every morning and because we are a very small shop, we can only make a certain amount of dough everyday, so place your orders early to pick up anytime throughout the day because we do sell out often! We boast a small menu, but what we do, we do it very well! I would put our pizza up against any other from the east coast with confidence! From our stellar crew of guys we have working at the shop and their customer service, to our hand tossed pizzas and locally sourced Ice Creams, Craft Beers and Wines, there IS a reason why we are one of the best pizza places around the lake!"

At Mountain Slice Pizzeria and Creamery, we take pride in what we do. The name of the game here is quality over quantity, always. We showcase a small menu, but what we do, we do it very well. We make our dough fresh every morning, but since we are a very small restaurant, we are limited on dough storage so we can only make a certain number of doughs per day. Once all of our doughs are spoken for, we can no longer take pizza orders for that evening. So we encourage you to call your order in early and let us know what time you want to pick up your pizza to guarantee you get yourself a pie!
Because we have a limited amount of dough, we encourage people to call-in or stop by the shop to place their orders early in the day (we open at 12pm) for whatever time they would like to pick it up later in the day. We know how many doughs we have to work with each day so when you call in an order ahead of time, you reserve yourself that dough and you are guaranteed to always get your pizza that way, as long as we still have dough for the day. As soon as you know you want pizza for dinner, call us and let us know what you want and when you want to come get it! Thats the best way to get a pizza from us! We prefer not to do phone orders for dine in because we have a very limited seating area which is first come first serve, so there is no guarantee you will get a table for yourself if you order pizza for dine in. We only have a few tables at the shop (take a look for yourself). It is a first come first serve basis and we do not take reservations for tables. As a walk-in trying to order and eat at our shop for dinner, we can not guarantee a place to sit when you come in and if you are able to get a seat for yourself, chances are you will still have to wait for food because we make our pizzas on a first-come first-serve basis including to go orders. Most of our pizza orders are to-go, so if you come in expecting to have dinner right then and there at the shop, most likely you will have to wait because there will be pizzas ahead of you. However we always try to accommodate and squeeze people in when we can. BUT, don’t cop attitude if you cant get what you want when you want it. That won’t do you any good here. You are dealing with New Yorkers. Attitude gets attitude and respect gets respect.

On a boat and hungry? But don’t want to get off the boat!? Hit us up Friday-Sunday for a pizza boat drop off at the public dock in Tahoe City! For an extra $25 we will bring your pizza down to the dock for you so you can just chill and soak up those rays!
